Like many athletes, our founder was tired of the same old story: premium football and rugby boots that reeked after intense training sessions and weekend matches. Whether it was leather football boots after a muddy pitch session or synthetic rugby boots after a brutal scrum, the smell was unbearable. Traditional sprays only masked the odour temporarily, and within hours, the stench returned with a vengeance.
After spending £150+ on top-tier boots—whether Nike Mercurials, Adidas Predators, or Canterbury rugby boots—watching them become unwearable due to odour was incredibly frustrating. And it wasn't just boots. Runners, gym-goers, and everyday athletes with trainers faced the same problem. There had to be a better solution—one that actually eliminated odours rather than covered them up.
That's when our team of biochemists started exploring probiotics and plant-derived enzymes. The idea was simple but revolutionary: use nature's own bacteria to fight odour-causing bacteria.
After 18 months of laboratory testing and athlete trials, FRESHKIX was born.
